आज हे वाचले.. TOI ची प्रचंड चीड आली.. Rave party करणा‍र्‍या लोकांची बाजू मांडतायत Editor साहेब.. म्हणे होळी मधे सगळीकडेच सेलीब्रेशनचा मूड असतो, उत्तर भारतात सगळ्यांनाच अटक करावी लागेल n blah blah… ok, पार्टी अरेंज करणे, दारू, डान्स असणे (म्हणे) आता कॉमन झालय.. पण सिंहगड पायथा ही जागा नव्हे ना.. आणि नुसती पार्टी तरी ठीके.. त्या पार्टी मधे मारिजुआना(असच असतं ना काहीतरी??) वगैरे ड्रग्स सापडली आणि TOI सारखी प्रसारमाध्यमं असे editorials लिहीतात… काय बोलायचं आता !! अर्थात TOI कडून हेच अपेक्षीत आहे. त्यांचा Pune Times वाचायला घेतला की वाटते, पुण्यामधे पार्ट्या, डिस्क्स या शिवाय काहीच नाही आहे, आणि इतर कुठलेही सांस्कृतीक कार्यक्रम होतच नाहीत.. त्या मानाने सकाळ खूपच चांगला.. Today ब‍र्यापैकी वाचनीय असतो.. तसेच ही न्युज बरीच चांगली कव्हर केली सकाळनी…. केवळ rave parties विरुद्ध लिहीले म्हणून नाही म्हणत मी.. पण बराच निःपक्षपाती आहे त्यांची अजूनही पत्रकारीता.. तुम्हाला काय वाटते??

    i think its just not feasible to catch all those who consume drugs, what police should have done is concentrate on the drug peddler/traffickers. In reality these things are available in pune 27/7. Incidentally police knows all about it. Catching small time soft-drug consumers was just another publicity stunt by publicity hungry police officer. I think TOI editor was just looking @ the larger picture.

TOI दिल्ली culture आणू पाहातय. कधी संधी मिळाली तर Delhi Times बघा, पार्ट्या, लफडी, कुलंगडी या शिवाय काहीही बघायला मिळत नाही. मी आठवतं तेंव्हा पासून म.टा. वाचायचो, त्यांनी रविवार पुरवणी आर्धी केली तरी मी वाचण सुरु ठेवलं होतं पण जसा त्यांनी Pune Times देणं सुरु केलं, मी पेपरच बंद केला. जवळ-जवळ २५ वर्षांचा आमचा संबंध संपला...

    I too agree with Harekrishnaji and Nikhil and thanks for taking such a stand.

    Consuming drugs at public places should be banned and for some weird reason Mr.Editor seems to back these brats and demoralise police force.

    Well said... Consuming beer is not against law but consuming & driving is against. About Marijuana or any other drugs, even handling those is a Crime. The laws in constitution are written to be followed, implemented. Its not JUST the "Ideal book of conduct". Police should not blind fold to such activities and set such offenders free.
    TOI used to be a good paper "Once upon a time". But sorry to say- "No more.."

    You are Wrong.. Why North India only? Even Police should arest half of India if it consumes marijuana and drugs,under the Law of the land,

    Please do not glorify such rave parties and do not try to demoralise police force. This time let them do their duty.

    Kindly note that we expect TODAY'S EDITORIALS on serious issues in the country.

    And do you really think The list of seizures from the Pune rave party doesn't look particularly incriminating — beer cans, marijuana,

    Shame on you for such editorial. Such glorification of an event where the drugs are consumed and where such loose acts happens is extremly dangerous for the society.

    TOI हा TOIlet च्या पण लायकीचा पेपर नाहीये.

    त्याच्यापेक्षा इंडियन एक्सप्रेस, द हिंदू हे चांगले आहेत.

    ज्यांना अशी पार्टी करायची असेल त्यांनी खुशाल आपल्या घरात करावी.

    अगं तू TOI वाचतेसच कशाला? नाही मी हे अगदी गांभिर्याने म्हणत आहे. त्यातील हवा तो भाग वाच म्हणजे जाहिराती, क्लासिफाइड इ. परंतु बाकी वर्तमानपत्र रद्दीच्या लायकीचेही नसते. (अनाहुत सल्ल्याबद्दल क्षमस्व!)

    मी पूर्वी हमखास TOI वाचायचे. कालांतराने लक्षात आले की आपलेच डोके फिरायची वेळ येते तेव्हा बंद केले.
